Celebrate National Distance Learning Week with UK Online and the U.S. Distance Learning Association. This annual event has been a cornerstone in the evolution of distance learning for 16 years. Join us for events focused on enhancing education through distance learning and succeeding in distance learning classes. Whether you are an educator or a student, you will find events specific to your interest. All sessions are complimentary, and all are hosted virtually!

ABSN Info Session: Fast Track Your Path to Nursing!

Join the UK College of Nursing for a live virtual session spotlighting the University of Kentucky’s Online Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program. Drop in to connect with our expert team and get answers to your questions about admissions pathways, prerequisite requirements, and key dates to keep you on track. No matter where you are in your nursing exploration, this session offers the insight you need to take the next step with confidence. Our team is here to support you every step of the way. Envision your future as a BSN prepared RN

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing offers an innovative, flexible 100 percent online RN-BSN degree program for Registered Nurses who have an associate degree or diploma in nursing. Enhance your expertise and develop skills to provide patient-centered care in multiple settings. Learn from our faculty, who are clinical experts, through classes that are tailored to you. During the informational session, you will learn what requirements are needed for admission and the types of classes offered. You will also learn about scholarship options and tuition costs associated with the track.

Digital Accessibility Starter Kit

This workshop will introduce participants to digital accessibility topics in relation to the recent updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Buddy Hall from UK Online and Jennifer Pusateri from CELT will talk about some of the most common accessibility barriers in digital content including alternative text, headings, and color contrast and walk participants through a demo of the Ally accessibility tool that is a built-in part of UK’s Canvas platform. Participants will also receive access to a Canvas course with resources and templates designed to support instructors in making their courses accessible.

This session will showcase the College of Education’s fully online master’s degree programs designed for educators, administrators, and professionals seeking to enhance their skills and career opportunities. Attendees will learn about program options, admissions requirements, and the support systems available to graduate students. The session will conclude with a live Q&A to address questions from prospective students.
