Advantages of Transferring to a UK Online Bachelor’s Degree Program
Have your coursework count. All coursework taken at the 100-level or above from a regionally accredited higher-education institution will be honored with transfer credit at the University of Kentucky. View all approved institutions and courses.
No A.A. or A.S.? No problem! If you’ve not yet finished all your general education requirements, you can do so with UK Online. If you've completed an A.A., or an A.S. from a regionally accredited institution, you automatically fulfill the UK Core general education requirements.
Get scholarships earmarked for transfer students. Apply for a variety of scholarships designated for transfer students. Take advantage of this opportunity to reduce your financial commitment.
Be supported. Meet virtually with a transfer advisor to discuss your unique situation and be guided toward selecting a program and understanding the process. Send a request to meet.
How To Apply to UK as a Transfer Student
APPLY FOR FREE
on Transfer Tuesdays!
Transfer students who apply on special Transfer Tuesdays will have the $50 application fee waived! All you have to do is fully submit your application on any of the Transfer Tuesday dates.
Please note: You must submit your application to UK on a Transfer Tuesday for your application fee to be waived. Your fee may not automatically be reflected as waived in your application portal, but if you applied on a Transfer Tuesday date, your admission officer will take care of waiving your fee when they process your application.
Additionally, you must be applying to UK as a transfer student; if you are a freshman, readmitted student or non-degree applicant, this promotion will not apply to your application. Please contact admissions@uky.edu with any questions about fee waivers for those application types.
