FMD Services

The Faculty Media Depot is a space where we help faculty create instructional media and related course content. We offer a multitude of services ranging from studio recordings to post-production.

We offer a multicamera studio suitable for recording presentations and demonstrations. The studio includes 4 different background options (White, Black, Chroma key Green, & a Natural Background), high quality lighting, professional sound, a teleprompter, and graphics capabilities. 

How to Prepare

• Let us know which background option you want to use before the recording.
• Bring in a flash drive with a script if you wish to use the teleprompter. Also bring in a flash drive with any PowerPoints or graphics you want to include in the recording.
• Avoid wearing solid white tops (or green if using green screen) and busy patterns.

We offer lightboard recordings, a presentation tool that allows you to create glowing text and diagrams on an illuminated glass panel for an engaging presentation enabling you to be forward-facing throughout. 

How to Prepare

• Bring in a flash drive containing your PowerPoint if you plan on using one.
• Plan for how your content will fit on a single board.
• You may reserve additional time to practice with the lightboard.

We offer a sound-proof studio suitable for podcasts, screen recordings, and other audio needs. It includes broadcast grade microphones, sound-treatments, and a webcam for video overlays. We utilize Camtasia, PowerPoint, Adobe Audition, and Audacity software. 

How to Prepare

• Let us know how many people plan to be at the recording.
• Bring in a script if you wish to record an intro or outro for podcasts.
• Bring in a flash drive containing your PowerPoint if you plan on using one.

If you have your own recording, we offer limited post-production services for editing recordings/lectures. We also offer creating animations for intros or outros on videos. Please email us to inquire.
