Faculty and staff have several options for software to create, edit, and enhance screen recordings and create video quizzes for their online courses.

YuJa for Screen Recording & Video Quizzes

Capture screen recordings, trim video, auto-caption, and create video quizzing using Yuja software. To enable Yuja in your Canvas course, select Settings in the course menu and find the Navigation tab. Within the two lists shown (Enabled and Disabled), scroll to find YuJa Media and select Enable. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Save changes, and you will now see YuJa Media within your Course Menu above Settings

To learn about YuJa’s video quiz tool, visit the YuJa Help Center.

Echo360 Universal Capture for Screen Recording

The Echo video capture system includes desktop recording, or “universal capture,” with basic editing tools and auto-captioning. Visit the ITS Technology Help Center article “Echo360 Capture” for download instructions. Before downloading, you will need to login with your Link Blue credentials. Note: For classroom lecture capture, contact your college IT support team. On the Echo roadmap as a future feature: video quizzing.

Adobe for Editing

Use UK’s Adobe license to access software that will support editing video, photographs, and graphics. Try Adobe Express for guided editing steps, Adobe Stock for free images and other software available to UK users in the Adobe Creative Cloud. Visit the ITS Technology Help Center article “How Do I Get Adobe Software” to get started.
