Nominations are Open Now!
UK Online is now accepting nominations for the inaugural University of Kentucky Online Teaching Award, which will recognize one faculty member for exemplary commitment to developing and teaching credit bearing online courses and/or advancing the field of online education. The award includes a plaque and a monetary prize.
Faculty and staff are invited to submit self-nominations or to nominate a colleague. Eligibility requirements and selection criteria are available on the UK Online Faculty Resources Award Overview webpage.
“This inaugural online teaching award provides an opportunity to formally recognize the outstanding work taking place across our online learning community,” said Patsy Carruthers, Director of UK Online. “The creativity, collaboration, and dedication of our faculty and staff are what make UK’s online programs strong, dynamic, and student-centered."
Nominations are open now and will close at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026. UK Online and its Steering Committee will celebrate the finalists and the award recipient at a reception in September.
“Online learning plays a critical role in expanding access and supporting student success across the Commonwealth,” said Brandi Frisby, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. “This award recognizes the individuals who make that impact possible.”
