UK Online welcomes Marsha Miller as the new Assistant Director of Global Compliance. In this role, Marsha leads the Distance Learning Compliance team and works with academic programs to guide institutional efforts related to state authorization and international regulatory requirements.
Before joining the University of Kentucky, she spent more than twenty years working in higher education. Her experience includes roles in financial aid administration and academic affairs compliance, where she focused on areas such as state authorization, professional licensure disclosures, and faculty credentialing in support of accreditation standards. Through this work, she developed extensive experience navigating the regulatory landscape that supports distance education and institutional compliance. She also supported online quality initiatives through her work with Quality Matters (QM) as a coordinator and course review manager.
In addition to her administrative work, Marsha taught online First-Year Experience courses at Georgia Southern University for two years, supporting new students as they transitioned into college and helping them build the academic and personal skills needed for success.
Marsha holds a Master of Public Administration from Valdosta State University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Valdosta State University with a focus on leadership and organizational management.
