Award Overview
The University of Kentucky Online Teaching Award has been created to recognize the accomplishments of an individual faculty member who exhibits exemplary commitment to developing and teaching credit-bearing online courses and/or those whose commitment to online teaching and learning leads to advancements in the field of online education.
Criteria
Nominations should be based on exemplary work in one or more areas, which may include course design, online teaching practices, research, and continuous improvement.
Eligibility
Faculty teaching one or more credit-bearing online courses during the academic year of the award or the previous academic year.
Award Number and Type
One faculty member will receive a cash award ($1000) and an appropriate plaque.
Nomination Procedure
Faculty and staff may nominate eligible online teaching faculty, and faculty may self-nominate. Specific information regarding 2027 nominations will be released in January
Finalists will be reviewed and the award named by a team consisting of UK Online leadership and UK Online Steering Committee members.
Awards are presented at a fall UK Online Awards reception.
